In the midst of several high-profile PC launches, Microsoft launches its top-end Surface Pro 8 in India. Additionally, the Surface Pro 7+ also comes to India as a more affordable variant of the same. Prices start at Rs. 83,999 for the base Surface Pro 7+ whereas the flagship Surface Pro 8 will set you back by Rs. 1,15,999 for the base 8GB RAM version.
Both the Surface tablets will be available on sale starting February 15. Both the Surface Pro models run on 11th generation Intel processors instead of Microsoft’s own SQ1 processor. Both these models take on the Apple iPad Pro with the Apple M1 chip and the entry-level MacBook Air as well as 13-inch MacBook Pro.
The Surface Pro 8 comes to India relying on the latest Intel 11th Gen Core processors with up to 16GB RAM and 256GB storage. It follows the Intel Evo platform guidelines and hence, ends up offering two Thunderbolt 4 ports as well as up to 16 hours of battery life. The Thunderbolt ports can support external GPU, 4K monitors, and more. It boots the latest version of Windows 11 out of the box.
The Surface Pro 8 features a 13-inch PixelSense display with slim bezels, support Dolby Vision colours, and a refresh rate of 120Hz. There’s also support for LTE connectivity. The device features a 5MP front camera for video calls and a 10MP rear camera that can record 4K videos in Dolby Atmos and dual far-field Studio Mics.
This can be had with the new Surface Pro Signature Keyboard as an accessory along with the Surface Slim Pen 2 with built-in haptic motor. The keyboard comes complimentary with select retailers.
