As expected, Microsoft is running the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase this month, but as it did last year, there's two separate events(Opens in a new window) to look forward to.
The first is called the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase and will be held at 10am PT (1pm ET) on Sunday, June 12. We can expect to see games from Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda, and third-party developers from around the world. Microsoft is making it as easy as possible to watch regardless of where you are, with live streams set to appear on Twitch(Opens in a new window), YouTube(Opens in a new window), Facebook(Opens in a new window), Twitter(Opens in a new window), TikTok, Steam, and China's Bilibli.
The live stream will be limited to 1080p at 60fps, but Microsoft intends to offer a rebroadcast of the event on the Xbox YouTube channel which will include a 4K 60fps option. That should show off the new games at the same quality as they will appear when we get to play them on Xbox Series X.
The second event is called the Xbox Games Showcase Extended and will be held at 10am PT (1pm ET) on June 14. Microsoft intends to show off some new trailers, but also offer "deeper looks" at some of the news announced at the June 12 event. As this second event only lasts 90 minutes, I suspect the focus will be on first-party and Bethesda titles.
Just like with the first showcase, Microsoft will be streaming it live across most major channels including YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, and Facebook. I suspect Microsoft will reference the Extended showcase during the June 12 event to give us a hint of which games will be getting the deeper looks.
