Microsoft is finally introducing Windows 11 Android apps via a public preview next month. The Windows 11 preview will also include some updates and improvements to the taskbar, redesigned Notepad and Media Player apps. Windows chief Panos Panay has mentioned the upcoming changes to Windows 11 in one of his blog posts. As of now these features are currently available in the Insider Program Dev Channel but will be available for all Windows 11 users soon. He wrote “Today, we’re excited to share that the upgrade offer to Windows 11 is beginning to enter its final phase of availability putting us ahead of our initial plan of mid-20221.” He also mentioned that the updated Windows 11 will also have easier window sharing feature and bring weather to the taskbar.

The Android apps support for Windows 11 will allow users to access various shopping and gaming apps like Amazon and Epic Games from Microsoft store.
The Windows 11 taskbar improvements will have a mute and unmute feature. The taskbar is also likely to show a clock on secondary monitors. Both the features were missing at the launch of Windows 11, but Microsoft is working on improving the taskbar by bringing back missing functionality like drag and drop.
The upcoming Windows 11 upgrade will also have the weather widget returning to the taskbar. Microsoft is also redesigning its Notepad and Media Player apps. Both include dark modes and design tweaks similar to the Windows 11.
