Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is getting a prequel coming as part of Free Comic Book Day, which falls on May 6th, and it will give a look at what Peter, MJ, and Miles have been doing since the events of the first Marvel’s Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The story brings in another Super-Villain to this universe, none other than the magic wielding The Hood. The free comic will be available May 6 in the US, and at a later date worldwide on the Marvel Unlimited app or Marvel.com.
Insomniac Games has also announced that Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered will be getting a standalone release on the PlayStation Store, and it will be available later in May. Those who have a copy of the original on PS4, be it disc or digital, will be able to upgrade for $10. If you own Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales on PS5 you can still get the game by upgrading to the Ultimate Edition. On release Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is going to be priced at $49.99.
Spider-Man was a great game on PS4 and has been remastered for PS5 alongside the release of Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
We gave Spider-Man: Miles Morales a great 8/10 in our review. “Spider-Man: Miles Morales feels like more of a sequel than it is a stopgap, entangling players within its web of cleverly refined mechanics while delivering some familiar web-slinging thrills,” said Jim. “A heroic technical showcase for PS5 owners picking up their consoles on day one, this meaty side story in the Spider-Man saga has us even more excited than before to see what Insomniac Games have planned next.”
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is expected to release in September, following a leak from Venom actor Tony Todd, and it does like up with messaging to expect the game in the autumn from Insomniac Games.
