The brutally gruesome Spider-Man villain Carnage needs no help being a terrifying monster capable of committing violent atrocities, but that didn't stop him from getting an even more hellish upgrade after he absorbed the power of the Ghost Rider, creating Marvel’s sickest villain combo ever with the symbiote Spirit of Vengeance.
Cletus Kasady was a sociopathic serial killer who became even deadlier after bonding with the symbiote spawn of Venom, an unholy alliance that created the villain Carnage. But while Carnage makes it his mission to kill basically anyone and everyone he comes across, the Ghost Rider’s goal on Earth is to protect the innocent and punish the guilty — basically making them the exact opposite of Carnage in every way except for their shared brutality.

In Absolute Carnage: Symbiote of Vengeance #1 by Ed Brisson and Juan Frigeri, Johnny Blaze — the King of Hell at that point and confined to the demonic dimension — sends a message to Danny Ketch to stop Carnage before he finds and kills their fellow Spirit of Vengeance Alejandra Jones. During the Absolute Carnage event, Carnage was on a mission to find everyone who ever wore the Venom symbiote, as they still had traces in their systems that Carnage wanted to merge with to become more powerful. While Ketch tried to stop Carnage before his dark task was complete, he was bested by the vile killer — a failure that cost Alejandra her life and gave Carnage an upgrade he wasn’t expecting.
While the two characters couldn't be more different, despite being hellish monsters who use violence to achieve their goals, Ghost Rider and Carnage are fused into one absolutely terrifying being. While
