Crystal Dynamics has given players another skin to add to Marvel's Avengers' already long list of heroic attire, with Hawkeye the recipient this time around and getting a suit straight out of the classic comics. It is not the first suit Crystal Dynamics has taken from the comic page and given to Marvel Comics' greatest archer, though previous additions have come from more recent iterations of Clint Barton. The newest suit, by contrast, is a blast from the past and will let players live out any retro fantasy they fave from Hawkeye's early days.
The studio announced the newest skin inside Marvel's Avengers' marketplace on the game's official Twitter, giving players a proper look at the latest retro suit. His new suit looks as if it was lifted right from The Avengers comics of the late-60s and 70s, which featured the purple-clad archer regularly during this time as the team battled the likes of Arcade, Crossfire, and Baron Zemo. To hammer this home, Crystal Dynamics included an image of one such Avengers comic from the aforementioned time period with Hawkeye front-and-center.

With the suit, Hawkeye now joins the rest of the launch roster and Kate Bishop as having what some players may consider a true comic-inspired «throwback» skin. Iron Man and Thor, in particular, also have classic-style skins available from the early days of The Avengers between Iron Man's original red and gold suit and Thor's bucket-like helmet. It leaves Black Panther and Spider-Man as the only two DLC characters to not have a similar suit available, though it would not be surprising to see ones added in the future.
