A new Marvel's Avengers blog post details upcoming additions like Jane Foster Thor, a new MODOK boss fight and the Cloning Labs Omega Level Threat. Crystal Dynamics' multiplayer superhero simulator launched back in 2020, but it has long struggled to maintain a playerbase amidst heavy criticism. While many fans feel that the end of Marvel's Avengers is approaching, Crystal Dynamics continues to announce exciting new content for the game.
While fans praised Marvel's Avengers for its single-player story and roster of unique playable heroes, at launch the game was criticized for its technical glitches, Marketplace microtransactions and repetitive endgame content. Over the past two years Crystal Dynamics has attempted to fix these various issues, but the game's playerbase has gradually dwindled. Recently publisher Square Enix sold Crystal Dynamics to Embracer Group, making the future of Marvel's Avengers even more uncertain. Many expected support for the game to be cancelled, but the developer seems intent on continuing to improve the experience. In April it was announced that Jane Foster Thor is coming to Marvel's Avengers as a new playable hero, and fans will be able to jump into her Asgardian boots soon.

A Marvel's Avengers blog post, shared by Marvel's Avengers on Twitter, reveals an abundance of upcoming content like Jane Foster Thor, AIM's Cloning Lab and a multiplayer boss fight against MODOK. Jane Foster was announced back in April, and Earth's newest hero is set to land in-game later in June. Some time after Jane's 2.5 Update in June, Marvel's Avengers will add a new Warzone and Omega Level Threat mission centered around the villainous MODOK.
