Hasbro has unveiled Wave 6 of its Kenner-inspired Marvel Legends Retro 375 Collection action figures now available for pre-order at Entertainment Earth. Kenner made its mark in the 1960s producing classic toys such as the Easy-Bake Oven and the Spirograph. However, the toy company skyrocketed to become one of the biggest toy manufacturers in the world when it famously obtained the rights to produce Star Wars action figures and playsets for the Star Wars trilogy from 1976 through 1985.
Kenner went on to produce lines of toys for brands such as DC Comics, whose Super Powers Collection included character designs from legendary comic book artists Jack Kirby and George Perez, The Real Ghostbusters, Jurassic Park and Batman: The Animated Series, just to name a few. Kenner become the gold standard in action figure design whose products were a staple in any kids' toy collection in the 80s. While Kenner was owned by a few different companies throughout its history, it was last sold to Hasbro in 1991, who continued to sell toys under the Kenner brand until the year 2000.
