Marvel's Avengers Concept Art From VR Designer Reveals Impressive Ant-Man
Concept art showing Hank Pym in his Ant-Man costume has revealed what the hero could look like in Marvel's Avengers. Despite Hank Pym appearing in the game's campaign, he never donned the Ant-Man mantle. Instead, this Ant-Man concept art is a look at what his superhero alter-ego could possibly look like if he should appear in Marvel's Avengers' universe.
By the time players meet Marvel's Avengers' take on Hank Pym, he has long left his Ant-Man persona behind him but is leading the resistance against AIM. In classic Marvel Comics lore, Hank Pym's Ant-Man was one of the founding Avengers, and the game explains through dialogue that Pym has a history with the superhero team that likely mirrors this. By the time the campaign picks up, Pym has had to retire from the world of superheroism as AIM altered his physiology to make changing size lethal to him, although a letter to his daughter also indicates this may have been his own doing from experimenting with early versions of the size-altering Pym Particles too. As a result, comic book purists were likely disappointed that they didn't get to see one of the founding Avengers in action.

Head of Visual Development for ROTU Entertainment and character artist Charles Logan tweeted his concept art of Pym's size-changing alter-ego within the Marvel's Avengers game universe, and fans seem to have responded well to his take on the character. Logan's design is remarkably comics accurate and pays homage to Jack Kirby's original design, particularly in the helmet, which features ant-like antennas to communicate with ants.
