Marvel's Hulk can be one of the most brutal characters in their universe when his primordial rage takes over, and one Avenger got to witness it in the worst way possible. While the Hulk is a frequent member of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, when either Hulk turns on the Avengers or they turn on him, things can get absolutely brutal.
When Bruce Banner's personality is not in control, the Hulk's almost unlimited raw strength paired with his blind wrath can have dire consequences for those around him, friends or foes. The Avengers often have the duty to stop him, but they never come out unscathed. The confrontations between Hulk and the Avengers are always epic, but in a future timeline, one ended in tragedy, at the expense of Tigra, who earns a spot as one of the Hulk's most gruesome kills.

The Last Avengers Story is a two-issue miniseries released in November and December 1995. It was written by Peter David with art by Ariel Olivetti. The story depicts the Avengers' last battle against their bitter enemies, Ultron, Kang, and the Grim Reaper, in a future where all the «classic» Marvel heroes have either died or are old and retired. With many of the old Avengers leaders such as Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man, it is up to an old and overweight Hank Pym to step up and form a new team to battle his twisted creation Ultron one last time. In a flashback, it was revealed how the last team of original Avengers disbanded, and it's a cruel story.
