Marvel’s Blade is returning and set to stake vampires in the MCU; however, comic-con can reveal the daywalker in the weirdest way. With little said about the Marvel project and even less known, the anticipation for the vampire hunter’s new movie has left audiences thirsty for more. As odd as it might sound, it makes sense that in the shadows of another corner of the MCU, Blade is lurking and that it’s at San Diego Comic-Con that Marvel can gear up to tease a new era with him as one of its flagbearers.
The vampire hunter Blade has always been one of Marvel’s hallmark characters, previously headlining three movies, a television series, and an anime adaptation. As early as 2016, Kevin Feige teased plans for a Blade project and in 2019 announced that a movie was in development with Luke Cage’s Mahershala Ali now recast in the title role. Since then, while updates made the news for other projects like the MCU’s Halloween special Werewolf by Night and the character making an offscreen cameo in Marvel's Eternals, word has been sparse on Blade.

Blade is coming, but true to a vampire hunter’s tactics, there are reasons to believe the daywalker will reveal himself at an unexpected time and place. With Werewolf by Night set to continue the MCU’s new horror titles in the wake of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, there’s a deduction that at SDCC this year, audiences can get word of Blade’s involvement in the project.
