Markiplier has responded to the rumours about him being in the Five Nights at Freddy's movie by saying that he "can't say anything" about it right now.
Ever since the Five Nights at Freddy's movie was first announced, one of the biggest requests from fans of the series is that some of the creators that made the series so popular, such as Markiplier and Pewdiepie, get a chance to appear in the film. Since the adaptation has been in development for so long (mostly due to infamous series creator Scott Cawthon having creative control and causing delays), it's been anyone's guess whether that would happen, but it's seeming more likely now.

As shared in the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit by DrAwesomeX, Markiplier recently took part in an interview with Variety to talk about his exclusive video partnership with Spotify, one that will bring two of his podcast to the service. Although most of the interview is about that partnership and some of Markiplier's other ventures, the final question asks Markiplier whether he's going to be in the Five Nights at Freddy's movie.
Markiplier, very vaguely, responds "Everyone wants to know, there was a lot of confusion. Yeah, I can’t say anything particular about that. There was a lot of scheduling conflict. And I can’t say anything."
It's a pretty mixed response from the streamer, who seems to try and misdirect the question by talking about there being a lot of confusion and scheduling conflicts, which wasn't really what was asked. However, he does say twice that he "can't say anything" about it, which makes it seem very likely that he's making an appearance in the movie and just isn't allowed to say anything about it right now.
