As many AAA games continue to pushed into 2022, Ubisoft and Nintendo collaboration gameMario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope gets closer to its October launch date. The sequel to 2017's surprising crossover aims to up the ante from its predecessor by offering players even more. This includes a bigger world to explore, a new tactical combat system, as well as more playable characters including Bowser, a Rabbid version of Rosalina, as well as an original character named Edge.
While Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle featured post-launch content in the form of a Donkey Kong Adventure expansion, Ubisoft is looking to do even more with Sparks of Hope. As the game approaches its October 20 launch date, Nintendo announced a Gold Edition players can purchase if they're looking for more content. As expected, players will need to pay a little bit more for this version of the game, and as of now, there doesn't appear to be a way to purchase the season pass separately outside of the Gold Edition.
Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope Trailer Details the Game's Playable Characters
According to the Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope description, the Gold Edition comes with the Season Pass and the Galactic Prestige Pack. In terms of the Season Pass, not too many specifics are known as of yet. The description indicates that owners will be getting access to upcoming downloadable content packs which include additional story content, new heroes like Donkey Kong was in Kingdom Battle, quests, and combat encounters.
