The announcement of an astonishing 48 new tracks coming to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe shocked players who've received a trickle of DLC content since the game's launch on Switch in 2017. Nintendo's now rolling out the 48 courses as 6 individual DLCs, each featuring 2 new cups and 8 total tracks. The first wave of courses arrived in March and was well-received despite some confusion over the art style changes. Now Wave 2 of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course Pass has arrived.
Wave 2 of the Booster Course Pass includes, as expected, 2 new Cups each with 4 new courses. First is the Turnip Cup, which includes Tour New York Minute from Mario Kart Tour, SNES Mario Circuit 3 from Super Mario Kart, Kalimari Desert from Mario Kart 64, and Waluigi Pinball for Mario Kart DS. Second, the Propeller Cup includes Tour Sydney Sprint from Mario Kart Tour, Snow Land from Mario Kart: Super Circuit, and Mushroom Gorge for Mario Kart Wii, and the last course is something special.

The final course of Wave 2's Propellor Cup is a brand-new course named Sky-High Sundae. The course is dessert-themed and full of obstacles made out of ice cream, chocolate, and candy. Think Wreck It Ralph's Sugar Rush racing game and that's the basic idea.
All of Wave 2's courses for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe have been updated to match the quality that players would escape for any given course in the game. These often include various gameplay additions, too. An interesting adjustment in Wave 2 is to a Wave 1 course, Coconut Mall, which has adjusted the Shy Guy-driven vehicles at the end of the course.
