Co-op gamers have already had some decent releases to check out this year, with Dysmantle getting its console release back in January and Elden Ring quickly becoming one of the highest-rated video games ever made. But while 2022 has already been kind to co-op-minded gamers, there's even more to look forward to later in March, with March 25 especially shaping up to be an exciting day for co-op fans.
March 25 will see the release of two big co-op games that both have potential to be two of the best co-op games of the year. One of them is a Nintendo Switch exclusive, whereas the other is a multi-platform game. Regardless, both should be on co-op gamers' radar.
Children of Morta Update Finally Adds Online Co-Op
First up is Kirby and the Forgotten Land on the Nintendo Switch. Kirby and the Forgotten Land is set to be the most ambitious Kirby game to date, abandoning the franchise's 2D roots in favor of being a full-blown 3D platformer. Not only is Kirby and the Forgotten Land going to be a 3D platformer, though, but the game will also have a full-fledged co-op mode for players to enjoy as well.
In the Kirby and the Forgotten Land co-op mode, one player takes control of Kirby and the other plays as Waddle Dee. While Kirby is the only one capable of pulling off some of the game's more visually-impressive tricks, Waddle Dee should be able to hold his own. Anyone curious can check out the Kirby and the Forgotten Land demo that's hit the Switch eShop ahead of the game's launch on March 25.
