Yesterday, Epic Games announced that 100 percent of Fortnite's proceeds would be going to help Ukrainian relief efforts and, in only one day, it has pledged $36 million. Given that Epic is doing this until April 3, it's clear that the number will only skyrocket in that time, especially with a new season and rumours of Miles Morales.
The money being donated to Ukraine is made up of in-game sales, so any cosmetics in the store are funding a variety of different charities helping those in Ukraine. Epic is donating to Direct Relief, UNICEF, UNFWP, and the UN Refugee Agency, although it has stated that more charities will be added in the coming week as April 3 encroaches.

Epic isn't the only one donating through Fortnite, either, as Xbox has also stopped taking a cut during this time to ensure that as much of the money made as possible will go into helping Ukraine. If the 24 hours it took to make $36 million is anything to go by, Fortnite could raise as much as $468 million for Ukraine by April 3. That's nearly half a billion dollars.
In other news, Humble Bundle and itch.io also raised a substantial amount for Ukraine with their own themed packs. Humble Bundle put together 122 games that, in less than a day, made $5.3 million. Itch.io's bundle meanwhile raised $6 million. Plenty of game developers and publishers have joined in such as Square Enix who directly donated $500,000 and Bandai Namco who donated $850,000.
