Carl Weathers, actor and director on The Mandalorian, shares his best R2D2 impression in a funny Star Wars TikTok. The highly successful live-action Star Wars series first debuted in November 2019 and has quickly become a favorite amongst viewers. Between the selfless heroics of titular character Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and the adorableness of his adopted son Grogu (Baby Yoda), the story has drawn in Star Wars and general audiences alike. The Mandalorian season 3returns in February 2023 to hit audience's screens for the first time since December 2020, despite Pascal's character having a 3-episode stint in this year's The Book of Boba Fett.
Weathers made his Mandalorian debut as Nevarro magistrate Greef Karga in the first episode of the Star Wars series. Initially acting as a friend-turned-enemy for Mando, the actor's performance changed his character's fate and provided Greef with an arc that led to him being one of Mando's most trusted allies by the end of season 1. Greef's return in season 2 episode «Chapter 12: The Siege» also provided Weathers' Star Wars directorial debut, an action-packed and story-developing installment that won him the chance to direct yet again in The Mandalorian season 3. What's next for Greef and Nevarro following the destruction of the Imperial lab is as of yet unknown, but Weathers has assured viewers his next episode will be an even greater step-up from his work on season 2.
