The latest leaks around iOS 16 point towards major changes for iPhone 13, iPhone 12 and all other supported devices for this update. iOS 16 rumors have been making the rounds for a while now, with most predicting that it will be one of the main focus areas of the Apple WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) event scheduled for June 2022. While it is not expected that the iOS itself will be available before September when Apple might launch the iPhone 14 series. This latest round of leaks comes from Bloomberg’s Apple expert Mark Gurman. Answering his premium Q&A section in his Power On newsletter, Gurman claimed that iOS 16 will be a highlight of the WWDC 2022. Elaborating further, he revealed that “there should be major changes across the system” and interestingly, “new ways of interacting”. Gurman, however, chose to remain cryptic and did not explain what these major changes were or what new ways of interacting we should foresee.
The biggest reveal to come from Gurman’s Q&A section was a brief mention of “fresh Apple apps”. If the information is to be believed, Apple might be bringing some new applications to refresh its app lineup for iPhone 13, iPhone 12 and other supported apps. “On the iOS side, I'm looking for some fairly significant enhancements across the board, including an update to notifications and new health-tracking features," he added.
