Magic: The Gathering veterans will be pleased to hear about multiple new Secret Lair drops that are coming around the corner, and which has been previously hinted at. Alongside the usual monthly Superdrop, Magic will be celebrating its 30th annversary later this year with a special drop of 30 cards.
Each "iconic" card will represent a year in Magic's 30-year history, and as such these cards are going to be rather special indeed. There's going to be twists and delightful surprises as each classic card will have a "fresh new look", according to the Wizard Presents announcements yesterday, and will even each come in their own individual booster pack wrappers.

It might be worth savouring opening a card for each day in December, when the drop is expected to arrive with players, or ripping them open all at once if temptation is too much. Though the 30-pack Secret Lair limited run that celebrates Magic's 30th anniversary is a set that has many pulses racing for its drop, there is more yet that's coming. That's because there is also the August superdrop arriving early next week.
For the Secret Lair August superdrop that's coming in only three days, fans can head to secretlair.wizards.com on August 22 in order to get cards from artist Victor Adame Minguez in a new Artist Series, and the showcase Dominaria United drop that reimagines popular cards in the set's gorgeous Stained Glass style. But that's just two that are known, there will certainly be more when the full superdrop is revealed next week.
