Amazon's game-streaming service Luna is now rolling out for everyone in the United States. The cloud-based gaming platform has been steadily growing since it launched in early access on Amazon Fire TV devices back in 2020.
Cloud gaming is a sector of the industry that has gradually been seeing more interest from companies. Google Stadia threw its hat into the ring relatively early on in the game-streaming craze, offering a subscription model combined with an online games marketplace. Microsoft has also been testing out xCloud gaming, a streaming service available to Game Pass members that is still currently in its beta phase. Along with other companies like Nvidia, Amazon has entered the streaming space as part of its larger pro-gaming initiative that has been taking place over the past few years. While Luna is still not as established as these other platforms, Amazon appears to have been putting a lot of effort and resources behind it, even partnering with companies like Ubisoft to bring more games to the service.

Luna will now be even easier for gamers to access, according to a recent press release from Amazon. In the statement, the company details some of the service's unique features, including its multi-channel model and its compatibility with the proprietary Luna Controller — a device designed to reduce latency while playing. The statement also mentions that Prime members will get special access to the Prime Gaming Channel, which features a "rotating selection of free games".
