Kai has made headlines many times for getting banned on Twitch for various reasons, and other controversies that he was involved in. However, he's still considered a rising star on the platform because of the rapid growth of his channel as fans would tune in to his entertaining streams. When he announced his 30-day subathon that started on February 1st, 2023, many predicted that he could become one of the most-subscribed streamers by the end of it.

True enough, Kai managed to beat Ludwig's record of 283,066 Twitch subscribers, replacing him as the number one streamer on the platform. In a tweet, Ludwig congratulated Kai on the milestone, and also told Twitch to pay the streamer «before you lose another record breaker.» Ludwig had been vocal about Twitch reportedly not acknowledging his successes despite being the top streamer on the platform, which ultimately led him to make the switch to YouTube in 2021. Although he hadn't mentioned whether Twitch shorthanded him financially in the past, this recent tweet might shed more light on what happened while he was still a Twitch streamer.
