Lost Ark May Update is Adding a Lot of New Content
Lost Ark has a major update planned for the month of May aiming to introduce many new features and activities. Fans ofLost Ark can look forward to the new Destroyer advanced class, a new Legion Raid, numerous quality of life changes, and plenty of other additions and changes.
Smilegate and Amazon Games' MMO action RPG was highly anticipated by fans of the genre and saw incredible numbers when it was released to Western audiences in February. With 1.3 million concurrent players, Lost Ark became the second most played game of all time on Steam, beating out the likes of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2. The game's popularity can be attributed to its free-to-play model, satisfying gameplay and progression, and immense freedom in build customization allowing players to fine-tune every aspect of their character's abilities. Since launch, Lost Ark has remained consistently within the top 5 most played Steam games on any given day.
Lost Ark is Getting Its Own Battle Pass
Lost Ark's developers have been closely monitoring player feedback and player progression in order to decide the best time to release increasingly difficult content, and they've concluded that enough players are powerful enough to warrant some new additions. Valtan, the first Legion Raid, will be a difficult eight-player raid featuring complex and difficult mechanics. Two checkpoints throughout the raid will save player progression, a sign that players likely won't be breezing through straight away. The raid also introduces a new rarity of gear, Relic gear, crafted with materials earned from the raid. Deskaluda, another Guardian Raid, will also arrive with the update and successful challengers may earn Relic quality accessories from the boss.
