Google’s first smartwatch — tentatively called the Pixel Watch — has reportedly surfaced on a US-based carrier’s inventory database, usually a clear sign that the wearable might hit the shelves soon. While hardware specifications and fitness capabilities have so far remained a mystery, the device is rumored to offer some level of Fitbit integration and software aesthetics that fall in line with the Material You design language introduced with Android 12.
The Google app’s code recently dropped some breadcrumbs as well. Google’s smartwatch is said to offer a more fleshed-out version of Google Assistant with some exclusive features in tow, a la Pixel phones, standing out from other Wear OS-based smartwatches offered by brands like Fossil. The virtual assistant might also get a speed boost, as rumors suggest that Google Assistant on the smartwatch will rely on on-device processing to respond and accomplish tasks at a quicker pace.

As per a report from Android Police, the Pixel Watch has been listed on the database of an unnamed US carrier's inventory system. The smartwatch popped up under the codename “rohan” and will be sold in at least three color options — black, gray, and gold. Alleged product renders of Google’s smartwatch that emerged a few months ago showcased the device in a bunch of bright colors, such as orange and sky blue, which thematically aligns with the design language of Google’s latest Pixel 6 series phones. The report also adds that the Pixel Watch will also be up for grabs as a variant with cellular connectivity, following in the footsteps of the Apple Watch and Samsung's Galaxy Watch lineup.
