Screen Rant has an exclusive clip from Snowpiercer season 3, episode 7, where Andre Layton (Daveed Diggs) confronts Pike (Steven Ogg), the man he killed. As Snowpiercer heads to the Horn of Africa, where Layton promised the passengers would be able to find New Eden and live outside of the train, Pike attempted to assassinate him. When Layton learned Pike wanted him dead, they finally faced each other in a battle to the death in the Tail where Layton prevailed before falling unconscious from his injuries.
Layton and Pike have been both friends and rivals since before Snowpiercer season 1 when they were part of the hundreds who stowed away in the Tail. But the imposing Tailie resented how Andre became the train's leader and the decisions he made running Snowpiercer. Pike especially resented Layton using him to do his dirty work like murdering Terence (Shaun Taub) in Snowpiercer season 2. When Layton and his inner circle stole Snowpiercer's engine and vanished for six months to search for Melanie Cavill (Jennifer Connelly) and New Eden, inadvertently leaving Ruth Wardell (Alison Wright) behind, Pike held it against Andre. Left on their own, Pike became Ruth's right hand and they led the Resistance against Mr. Wilford (Sean Bean) from the bowels of Snowpiercer until Layton returned and overthrew Wilford. But afterward, Pike, who grew romantically attached to Ruth, felt that she should be Snowpiercer's leader and Pike suspected Layton was lying about New Eden — which he confirmed before they fought to the death.
