Logitech’s LogiPlay featured some new announcements, and Logitech G and Streamlabs unveiled a new free, open-source, editing, tool, the AI Game Highlighter. If you stream and you usually spend time collecting and editing clips into highlight reels, this new tool could save you lots of time.
This new tool is one of the ways that Logitech is using AI to improve a player and streamer experience, AI Highlighter has algorithmic tools that will let you identify the most relevant or exciting gameplay moments from your Twitch streams and combine them into a highlight reel to share on your other channels.
AI tools have been used, even before generative AI burst upon the scene to both praise and controversy. A tool like Logitech and Streamlabs announced is one that will let creators share and enhance their own work. Using it could save some time, and help people maintain consistent content across channels as they try to grow their reach.
You can import clips from past streams, and tailor the clips with things like music, transitions, or commentary. In a press release announcing the new tool, Streamlabs’ Ashray Urs, explained that this tool uses AI to help streamers repurpose and use their content as highlights and tailor them to specific platforms and saves time and effort in doing so.
«Our tool does all the heavy lifting for streamers,» Urs says.
The AI Game Highlighter will launch this fall with support for Fortnite, with support for other games to follow. If you use Streamlabs Desktop, you'll be able to use this new tool for free when it launches. Initially, you'll be able to export your clips and download the video or directly upload to YouTube. TikTok direct uploads are in the works..
