Jim Gavin, the creator of the cult hit Lodge 49, addresses the potential for a series revival. Lodge 49 premiered in 2018 on AMC and ran for two seasons before being cancelled by the network due to low ratings. Despite those numbers, however, the show was a critical success and achieved a cult following, with many complimenting the quirky tone and performances.
Lodge 49 follows Dud (Wyatt Russell), an optimistic drifter who joins the Order of the Lynx, hoping to recover the idyllic life he's lost since his father's death. Along the way, he encounters a cast of unusual characters who lead him on an idiosyncratic journey across the world. Inspired by the work of Thomas Pynchon, Lodge 49 was unable to draw in a wide audience due to its odd approach to storytelling and character development.
