Despite fans holding out hope for it, Simon Pegg has a disappointing response for a possible Spaced revival. Pegg co-created, co-wrote and co-starred in the cult sitcom as Tim Bisley, a twenty-something Londoner who moves in with fellow twenty-something Daisy Steiner after he is kicked out of his place by his ex-girlfriend. Tim and Daisy initially pose as a couple in order to meet the requirements of a cheap apartment in the area, though eventually find themselves developing feelings for one another.
Jessica Stevenson served as the other creator, writer and star for Spaced with some of the supporting cast including Nick Frost as Tim's best friend Mike, Katy Carmichael as Daisy's best friend Twist, Mark Heap as an eccentric neighbor named Brian and Julia Deakin as their landlady Marsha. Directed by Edgar Wright, the comedy series aired for two seasons on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom and scored largely favorable reviews from critics and audiences alike for its relatable characters, fast-paced direction, pop culture references and the performances of its cast. Despite its acclaim, Spaced came to a close after two seasons and while fans of the sitcom have called for a continuation, one of the minds behind the series has a pretty definitive response to the possibility.
