Stardew Valley's big 1.6 update has just launched, and at least one fan is so ecstatic that they created a special menu at their cafe to celebrate. The collection of drinks draws inspiration from iconic items and creatures in the popular life sim, along with some charming art.
Stardew Valley has been a massive indie hit for a long time now, and the updates just keep coming. While developer ConcernedApe has a new game to work on in the form of Haunted Chocolatier, the dedicated dev keeps coming back to Stardew Valley to improve upon the game and add new content.
Stardew Valley fans are often a creative bunch, as seems to be the case with the creator of this cafe's menu. Reddit user mandapanda1988 took a photo of the cafe's menu board and shared it with fellow fans on the Stardew Valley subreddit. The board is decorated with Stardew Valley pixel art and offers six different beverages inspired by things fans will immediately recognize, like Prismatic Shards and Junimo.
Each item on the menu is charmingly thought out with inspiration from the names they're drawn from, as well as some unique creative concepts. The Ginger Island drink, for example, is Chai combined with a house-made ginger syrup, taking inspiration from the island's name and climate. Others are a bit more of a surprise, like creating a White Mocha based off of Krobus, a shadow person, or the Prismatic Shard, which they turned into a spicy hot melon lemonade.
Fans of the game have been quite vocal about the menu so far, showering the creator with praise and wanting to know more. Mandapanda1988 explained that the cafe is located in Lincoln Nebraska and is called the Crescent Moon Coffee shop. Several players expressed wanting to visit the cafe, while others shared their favorites from the list. While it's not the first time Stardew Valley has appeared on a cafe menu, the care and planning that went into this one shows how dedicated fans can be to the indie title.
