Ford's luxury brand Lincoln has announced that it will unveil a fully-electric concept vehicle on April 20th. Lincoln currently doesn't have any EVs in its portfolio, although it does offer multiple gas-electric hybrids. Ford is also betting big on electric and has announced plans to launch at least seven new EVs in Europe, including three cars and four vans. With gas prices going through the roof, various categories of EVs are becoming more popular. That includes not just sedans, hatchbacks, and pickup trucks, but also sports cars like the Maserati Grecale EV and the Lotus Eletre EV, both of which were announced in March. Luxury brands are also jumping on the EV bandwagon, with automakers like Jaguar, BMW, Mercedes, and Audi offering fully-electric models. Ford will be hoping that its upcoming Lincoln EV can carve out a niche for itself despite being late to the party.
