Life is Strange Before The Storm is a prequel to the original Life is Strange and features many hidden elements, such as different graffitiing locations within the world that can sometimes be easy to miss. Life is Strange is one of the most popular choice-based adventures, where every decision players make will impact their unique storyline to the game. Finding hidden collectibles can be a favorite pastime for players in open world story games. For example, collecting graffiti around the world will allow players to understand Chloe on a more personal level and reveal her rebellious side to game players.
Throughout the game, players will have an option to leave Chloe's mark on Life is Strange's world; this element is seen as a replacement as the optional photo opportunities in Life is Strange. Some of these graffiti locations will only be available after a particular action has been made, and most are hidden away in places players will need to explore thoroughly to find. Players will often choose what to graffiti, giving a sense of individuality, and it usually will consist of humorous remarks based on how Chloe is feeling at that time in the game. The previous interactions with other characters within the game will also impact the graffiti options available to use, for example, building a solid relationship with one character instead of another.
