Lies of P: How to Find (& Beat) Owl Doctor (Optional Boss)
Deep in the Barren Swamp, you might find an NPC named the Owl Doctor in that you can talk to and even beat in an intense optional boss fight. An individual broken by cruel experiments from the Alchemist, this figure hides in the lower floors of a wooden shack you can reach by climbing down a ladder. This quick and brutal opponent has deceptive attacks that can be hard to predict in the limited space of this boss battle.
Unlike large bestial enemies like the Fallen Archbishop Andreus boss in , the Owl Doctor has clear weaknesses tied to being a human Stalker opponent. Any backstab attack on this boss delivers a highly damaging series of strikes called a Fatal Attack. However, this vulnerability doesn't make the Doctor any less difficult as they wield both a Bone-Cutting Saw and Dagger weapons that are used for fast combo attacks.

The best way to defeat the Owl Doctor is to land backstabs in between their attack animations, dodge the boss' combo strikes, and knock them down with interrupting hits. Occasionally the boss will change one of their moves into a Fury Attack, turning one of their weapons red in. These attacks can only be blocked by performing a Perfect Guard, which may be hard to time given how fast the Doctor moves.

Anticipate this attack from far away and Dodge as fast as you can to the left or right.
