The cinematic pairing ofLeonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese are back together, as they will reunite for their seventh movie: The Wager. As one of the best actors and best directors in Hollywood, any new project involving either becomes a bit of an event film. The two men have become great collaborators over the years, as 2002's Gangs of New York saw a young DiCaprio partner up with the legendary director for the first time. Their partnership continued with 2004's true story tale The Aviator and 2006's The Departed, both of which brought Leo up to be the main character and further established him as a Hollywood star.
The pairing took a small break after The Departed finally gave Scorsese a Best Picture Oscar win. It was then in 2010 that DiCaprio starred in Scorsese's mystery thriller Shutter Island. The two famously worked together again in 2013 for The Wolf of Wall Street, which is often cited as their best collaboration. DiCaprio has not appeared in a Scorsese movie since then, even though the director made two more films. He is set to play a supporting role in Scorsese's upcoming 2023 movie Killers of the Flower Moon, which will be their sixth movie together.
