Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio's highly-anticipated Western crime drama film Killers of the Flower Moon has reportedly been pushed back to 2023. Based on the book Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI by author and journalist David Grann, the story of the film is set in the early 1900s and centers around a series of murders in the Osage Nation in Oklahoma, which sparked a widespread investigation from the FBI led by a young J. Edgar Hoover and Texas Ranger Tom White.
The film marks the sixth collaboration between Scorsese and Dicaprio and the tenth between Scorsese and Robert De Niro. Killers of the Flower Moon also boasts an ensemble supporting cast that includes Brendan Fraser, Jesse Plemons, Lily Gladstone, Katherine Willis, Sturgill Simpson, and John Lithgow. Distributed by Paramount and Apple TV+, the $200 million budget of the film is said to be the largest ever amount spent on a movie filmed in Oklahoma. While Killers of the Flower Moon was initially set for a fall season release, it seems like that may no longer be the case.
