Though three other actors are currently donning the mask, Keanu Reeves says playing Batman would be a dream. Since making his debut with 1939's Detective Comics No. 27, Batman has become a cultural landmark within the superhero genre, expanding far past the pages of the DC Comics to a mammoth media franchise including films, TV shows, video games, theme park rides and more. Batman's popularity would begin to soar in the '60s with the Adam West-led TV show and feature film, with the character eventually returning to the big screen for Tim Burton's 1989 Batman starring Michael Keaton. Following a shift in plans for Warner Bros.' DC Extended Universe, the studio would launch a reboot of the solo film franchise with Robert Pattinson and Matt Reeves' The Batman, but as Affleck prepares to suit up for reportedly his final outing in The Flash while Keaton is set for multiple DCEU appearances, another actor is willing to throw his name in the ring to play Gotham's hero.
