Kanye West has officially declared that he "likes" Jewish people once again. What, you may ask, brought around such a miraculous change of heart for West, who has been spewing anti semitic garbage for a while now. Maybe he saw the folly in his ways; perhaps it was divine intervention; or maybe he realised that he is not too different from the people he hated. Or perhaps it was a 2012 action-comedy movie starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum as undercover cops in a high school. If you've been following West's drama, you shouldn't be surprised at which one it is.
After somehow making Elon Musk look like the good guy for banning him on Twitter, West took to Instagram to spread a message of peace inspired by 21 Jump Street. He posted an image of the film's poster and said that Hill's performance made him change his mind about Jewish people. Oh, and he now loves Jonah Hill too.

"Watching Jonah Hill in 21 Jump Street made me like Jewish people again," he wrote. "No one should take anger against one or two individuals and transform that into hatred towards millions of innocent people. No Christian can be labeled antisemite knowing Jesus is Jew.
"Thank you Jonah Hill I love you".
Well, this is a good thing, right? For some people it's holy scriptures or self actualisation that makes them change their outlook, for Kanye it's 21 Jump Street. Still, you may think I'm being cynical, but the phrasing of this message is a bit confusing. That last line – not the part about loving Jonah Hill – the one about being "labeled antisemite" feels like it's saying that no one – himself included – can be called anti semitic, rather than no one can be anti semitic.
