The Jurassic World: Dominion trailer may hint at the human characters building a brand-new Jurassic Park. Sanctuaries and parks designed to house dinosaurs are of course nothing new for the franchise. Society has built several over the years, but they tend to always lead to disaster.
That being said, the world has changed significantly since the first Jurassic Park was open for business in the original 1993 movie. It’s even different from what it was in 2015 when Jurassic World took place. The events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom created a deadly new status quo for human civilization by ending with the mass release of dinosaurs into the wild. With an untold number of dinosaur species running loose in the Earth’s many ecosystems, chaos in dinosaur parks are the least of humanity’s concerns. Being forced to coexist with dinosaurs everywhere threatens the entire species with the possibility of extinction.

In the midst of all the disorder ensuing around the world, a new dinosaur sanctuary may have been built between Fallen Kingdom and Dominion. A shot in the Jurassic World: Dominion trailer hints at the construction of a new Jurassic Park. At the 1:45 mark, an installation built over a river in the jungle can be spotted. As of yet, it’s not clear what purpose it’ll serve in the story, or why it was set up at all. Regardless, the way it’s structured is somewhat similar to other versions, plus its massive size does reinforce the idea that it’s a new dinosaur sanctuary of some kind.
