A new trailer offers a glimpse at Harvey Dent’s look in Joker: Folie à Deux, the upcoming sequel to 2019’s Joker starringJoaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga. The film hits theaters on October 4 in the U.S.

Even though Dent is only seen briefly in the latest Joker 2 video played by Industry actor Harry Lawtey, his presence looms large in the 30-second clip. He calls Arthur Fleck a monster, condemning him and his followers. Dent’s harsh words, which Arthur takes in as he watches on television in prison, don’t seem to bother Arthur all that much. Gaga’s Harley Quinn tells Arthur that he can do anything he wants. “You’re Joker,” she tells him.
Along with Lawtey, who plays Robert Spearing on HBO’s Industry, the supporting cast for Joker: Folie à Deux includes Catherine Keener, Brendan Gleeson, Jacob Lofland, Leigh Gill, Ken Leung, and Zazie Beetz, who reprises her role as Sophie Dumond from the first film.
Todd Phillips returns to direct and co-write the script for the sequel. Described as a drama with musical elements, Joker: Folie à Deux opens on October 2 overseas. Although the first Joker was envisioned as a standalone movie, the 2019 drama went on to have massive success at the box office. It became the first R-rated film to gross $1 billion dollars at the box office, carrying that distinction until the recent success of Deadpool & Wolverine. It also won Phoenix an Oscar for his leading performance out of 11 nominations in total.
