Joker 2 Set Photos & Video Show Joaquin Phoenix in a Wild Chase
Several set photos have made their way online, giving fans another look at Joaquin Phoenix’s return as DC’s Clown Prince of Crime.
The new set photos and video show Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck running through the city as he’s seemingly chased by two different past versions of himself, including one that’s wearing the memorable red suit from the first movie’s climax. Whether these are different characters dressed as Fleck or some sort of hallucination is unclear, though The Daily Mail‘s photos provide a bit of a closer look at the chase.

will feature the return of Joaquin Phoenix as he reprises his Oscar-winning role as the titular DC villain. The sequel will also feature the return of Zazie Beetz’s Sophie, along with franchise newcomers Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Harry Lawtey. The sequel is currently slated for a theatrical release on October 4, 2024.
The 2019 film was both a critical and commercial success with a worldwide gross of over $1 billion at the box office, making it the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time. It received recognition from multiple major award-giving bodies, including two Oscars and two Golden Globes — both for Best Actor and Best Original Sound.
