John Wick: Chapter 4 star Hiroyuki Sanada provides an intriguing clue about his new character in the upcoming film. The first John Wick became something of a surprise hit upon its release back in 2014, introducing audiences to Keanu Reeves' slick and lethal assassin. The franchise has only grown since then, with both John Wick: Chapter 2 and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum expanding the world of the film and introducing a host of new characters, both friendly and otherwise.
John Wick: Chapter 4 is set to be the biggest entry in the franchise yet, with a recent trailer teasing some of what's to come in the highly-anticipated action film. In addition to exotic locales and the franchise's signature action, the trailer also provides a first look at many of the film's new characters, including those played by Donnie Yen, Clancy Brown, and Sanada. Sanada's character only features briefly in the trailer, but he hints that the High Table will never stop pursuing Wick. It's currently unclear whether Sanada's character will be an ally to Reeves' assassin in John Wick: Chapter 4 or if he will end up being another one of Wick's many enemies.
