Jensen Ackles is working on a secret DC project but won't say if it is a film or television series. Ackles is a television legend, having appeared on the hit television series Supernatural for fifteen seasons as Dean Winchester. Ackles' next big project is in the role of Soldier Boy on the hit Amazon series The Boys, which will reunite him with Supernatural creator Erik Kripke.
Ackles is no stranger to the world of superheroes, particularly DC Comics. Before Supernatural, the actor appeared in season 4 of Smallville as Jason Teague, a love interest of Lana Lang with a mysterious past. He provided the voice of Jason Todd in the 2010 animated film Batman: Under the Red Hood and most recently voiced the Caped Crusader himself in a two-part adaptation of Batman: The Long Halloween. With the recent boom of DC film and television adaptations as well as the actor's popularity, it seemed like only a matter of time before the actor joined a new DC project.
