Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the second biggest physical game launch of the year in the UK.
According to GfK data published by GI.biz, the EA title was bested only by Hogwarts Legacy in terms of physical launch sales in the UK, but the game is “well ahead” of Resident Evil 4 in third place.
It’s also the eighth biggest Star Wars boxed release from the last 30 years, despite opening week sales coming in 35% lower than what its predecessor, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, managed.

It’s worth emphasising that this data is for boxed sales only, and since Fallen Order was released in 2019 digital adoption has accelerated significantly. Jedi: Survivor also retailed for £10/$10 more than its predecessor.
82% of Survivor’s sales were on PS5, while 18% were on Xbox, which again is likely due to the popularity of digital on the latter. This week’s full UK chart can be found over on GI.
Charts company GfK recently revealed the UK’s best-selling Star Wars games ever.
The biggest physical Star Wars game was 2015’s Star Wars Battlefront, which GfK says sold more than double the previous biggest Star Wars game, 2008’s The Force Unleashed, during its launch period.
EA’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is in eighth place. However, it’s noted that the title would likely have placed higher if digital data was included, since modern titles skew less towards physical sales.
