Haunted Mansion fans got a delightful surprise over the weekend. One Take News is reporting that Jamie Lee Curtis and Jared Leto will join the cast of Disney's reboot of The Haunted Mansion.
The Haunted Mansion has been a staple to Disney since its opening in 1969, wait times to hop in the eerie «doom buggy» can reach up to two hours. In 2003 Disney fanatics were able to get their Haunted Mansion fix when Disney released The Haunted Mansion film starring Eddie Murphy. A reboot has been in the works for some time and Disney has been teasing bits of the project over the last year. This time we will follow Rosario Dawson as our main character. A widowed doctor looking for a fresh start with her 9-year-old son (Chase Dillion).

Jamie Lee Curtis, the queen of horror, will take on the role of Madame Leota, a psychic whose head is trapped in a crystal ball. Curtis will be reprising the role that was once played by Jennifer Tilly in 2003. Curtis and Disney no doubt have a great relationship considering she has been in plenty of Disney films such asFreaky Friday (2003), Beverly Hills Chihuahua (2008), and You Again (2010). Mix that with creepy elements and Curtis will no doubt deliver a great performance.
Jared Leto, a master of his craft will also star in the reboot as Alistair Crump/ The Hatbox Ghost. According to One Take News, the method actor will get into his role by changing his voice, making it deep and creepy. His costume design will also resemble the famous animatronic, but with a Renaissance-inspired twist to it. Leto is well known for truly transforming into the characters he plays. He's displayed his talents through roles like the Joker in Zack Snyder's Suicide
