The Jackbox Party Pack 10 release date has been announced, with this tenth entry in the hardy perennial party game series launching across all major digital platforms on 19th October. Check out the announcement trailer.
I’m really not sure how Jackbox Games missed the chance to launch on 10th October, but I guess nothing in this world can be perfect.
As always, Jackbox Party pack will feature five new party games, blending together a mixture of returning favourites and brand new creations. There’s drawing battles in Tee K.O. 2, type-offs in FixyText, time-travel trivia in Timjinx, a bit of intrigue and social deduction in Hypnotorious, and the group game music-making on Dodo Re Mi – the studio’s first ever music game.
All of the games are designed for different group sizes, whether that’s FixyText being recommended for 3-6, or Dodo Re Mi branching all the way from 1-9 players. With players connecting via their smartphones, you don’t have to be in person to play, and Jackbox has long supported playing via streaming, whether that’s a Shareplay, Discord or something broader with Twitch audiences – there’s also audience participation modes, and settings to loosen the timings on different modes.
As with last year’s game, Party Pack 10 will be localised for English, French, Italian, German and Spanish. This year’s game has that at launch though, whereas localisation was added post-launch for Party Pack 9.
