Star Wars Battlefront III is the canceled sequel to Star Wars Battlefront II, which had a rough start on launch, but its truncated post-release support shows there's still more the series can offer. With a concerted effort from DICE, Battlefront 2 has become a great way to be immersed in the universe that the Star Wars franchise is known for. The belated success of Battlefront 2 made the prospects of a third game promising. Unfortunately, the Battlefront reboot series appears to be on indefinite hiatus, despite the potential it still has to deliver a compelling first-person shooter experience.
When Star Wars Battlefront II first launched, it had various pay-to-win features like loot boxes, which were detrimental to the franchise and brand as a whole. Unfortunately, because of the Battlefront 2 loot box disaster, many players quit the game shortly after it launched. The disastrous launch and predatory microtransactions became a major component in an ongoing saga that's seen many countries introduce legislation to regulate loot box mechanics as a form of gambling. However, EA and DICE have since updated Battlefront 2 to make loot boxes contain cosmetic items only. With this issue now fixed, 2022 is the best year to get into Battlefront 2.

DICE's next game, Battlefield 2042,released in a rocky state similar to the likes of Battlefront 2, but with other underlining issues. It was bug ridden, able to be exploited, and had connectivity issues even with decent hardware and internet connectivity.
