Turning on the power in Call of Duty Zombies is usually your first course of action to get to a point where you feel powerful enough to survive as the rounds get later and the enemies get stronger. This usually gives you access to new areas of the map and lets you grab perks from Perk Machines and use the Pack-a-Punch machine. With Call of Duty: Vanguard going back to a round-based system in Shi No Numa, do you need to turn the power on?

How to turn on the power in Shi No Numa in Call of Duty: Vanguard ZombiesThere is no need to worry about the power in Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Shi No Numa. Like the game’s previous maps, there is no power switch or similar mechanic that locks you out from certain areas. Additionally, since the game’s perks are retrieved from fountains, there is no need for electricity like with Perk Machines.
While there is no power switch, you still have access to electrical features in Shi No Numa. There are traps in quite a few doorways you can use to lead enemies into, and when crafting the Wunderwaffe DG-2, you need to charge up some vacuum tubed through creative means.
We would be surprised if any future Vanguard Zombies maps have the power switch. It hasn’t appeared yet, so it might be odd to see it implemented in the future. We do expect it to return in the future, though, with whatever game Treyarch brings Zombies to next.
