Samsung's Galaxy Chromebook 2 360 is finally available for purchase in the U.S. The device is the 2-in-1 version of the Galaxy Chromebook 2 and was originally announced in U.K. in late March. Chromebooks are generally great options for students due to their ease-of-use and affordable pricing, and Samsung's latest Chromebook is no different.
Chromebooks are powered by Chrome OS, which is a lightweight, cloud-based operating system with a ton of impressive features. The platform gained support for Android apps in 2016 and Linux apps in 2018 but it also lacks some important features when compared to Windows and macOS. For example, Chrome OS doesn't have a 'Restart' option, which means users have to shut down their device and then turn it on again when they need to restart.

According to Samsung, the Chromebook 2 360 was designed with students in mind. That's not surprising, given that the education sector is the biggest installed customer base for Chromebooks at all price-points and form-factors. The Galaxy Chromebook 2 360 features a 12.4-inch LED touchscreen display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 2,560 x 1,600 pixel resolution and 350-nit brightness. It is powered by an Intel Celeron N4500 processor and is offered with either 4GB or 8GB of LPDR4x RAM and 64GB or 128GB of eMMC storage. In terms of connectivity, the Chromebook comes with two USB-C ports, one USB 3.2 Type-A port, one combo 3.5mm headphone/mic socket, one microSD card slot, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. The LTE variant also comes with a Nano SIM slot for cellular connectivity. It also has a built-in 8 megapixel webcam that can record videos at 720p.
