The creative team behind Irredeemable, a story about a twisted Superman-like figure, are returning to create a new series set in the universe just in time for the series' 10th anniversary.
Created by Mark Waid, Peter Krause, and Diego Barreto, Irredeemable is the story of the Plutonian, a venerated hero who is as beloved on his world as Superman is in the DCU. But that love turns to terror when the Plutonian begins killing innocent people wholesale. With such a dire situation occurring, the fallen hero's former allies, the Paradigm, attempt to stop his attack on the world. BOOM! Studios recently hinted at Irredeemable's return in a teaser on social media, tantalizing fans at what the publisher, or the creative team have planned next for the story.

Fans didn't have to wait long for BOOM! Studios to launch a Kickstarter for The Complete Irredeemable Deluxe Edition Library, which contains Irredeemable and its spinoff series Incorruptible and Insufferable. After shattering its intended $100,000 stretch goal, Boom revealed major news that Irredeemable would be receiving a new series from Peter Krause and Mark Waid. To clarify the exciting news, Waid and Krause spoke with Comicbook.com in an exclusive that teased what they have planned for the edgy ‘Superman’ world. Waid revealed that the idea for a new Irredeemable series came from Boom, but their suggestion planted a seed that he was excited to pursue.
