One of Tony Stark's greatest creations gave him powers similar to four mighty Avengers, as his SKIN armor proved to be an extremely powerful suit for Iron Man. In Iron Man #42 by Marvel Comics, the hero's SKIN armor debuted, as it made an immediate impact, showing a range of powers, including ones similar to Captain America, Hulk, Captain Marvel, and Wolverine. But unfortunately, the suit had one huge weakness that led to its eventual defeat.
The early 2000s was a transformational time for Iron Man within the pages of Marvel Comics. After his reputation was destroyed, Tony Stark decided to make considerable changes in his life to make his secret identity disappear from the general public. Stark folded his companies, gave away his money to the Avengers, and took on the new identity as Hogan Potts, as he worked an office job that was a far cry from his usual luxurious life. However, hiding from the public didn't stop Iron Man from creating new suits, including his SKIN armor which brought together a handful of incredible powers similar to those of his fellow heroes.

In Iron Man #42 by Frank Tieri, Keron Grant, Stull, Story & Perotta, and Avalon's Edgar Tadeo from Marvel Comics, Tony Stark tests a brand new suit with some incredible powers. Called the SKIN armor, the liquid metal circuitry forms around an object and creates an adamantium-hard shell. It makes Iron Man's armor incredibly strong, as, in an almost Hulk-like fashion, it can deliver and take mighty blows, including breaking through omnium steel with ease.
