iQOO 9 SE – is that happening? Based on a recent leak, it is now said that the iQOO 9 series will have three models instead of the advertised two models so far. The iQOO 9 SE will join the iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro once the series launches later in the year. The SE model, unlike expectations, won’t be running on a midrange chipset; instead it is going to rely on last year’s Snapdragon 888 chipset. Expected pricing details have also been shared.
Revealed by the YouTube channel Technical Guruji, the iQOO 9 SE will expand the flagship iQOO 9 series this year towards the more affordable end of the price range. The biggest head turner is the presence of the Snapdragon 888 chip, which will technically be the least capable chip in the iQOO 9 series. It is said that the iQOO 9 will have slightly tweaked Snapdragon 888+ whereas the iQOO 9 Pro will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. All three phones are said to be based on Android 12 and will have FunTouch OS 12 skin on top.
All the three models will also have a 120Hz AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner. However, it is the iQOO 9 SE that will have the 6.6-inch display, while the iQOO 9 will have a smaller 6.5-inch display
