Xiaomi 12 Pro is coming to India soon possibly as iQOO 9 Pro rival

The Xiaomi 12 Pro is coming soon to India! Based on a recent leak, it is said that Xiaomi India is planning to bring the its flagship Xiaomi 12 Pro to India before the first quarter of 2022 ends. That means the Xiaomi 12 Pro could be in India by end of March, or early April. As with most Xiaomi devices, the Xiaomi 12 Pro will carry an aggressive price tag to take on its rivals from iQOO, Samsung, and Motorola.

The tip comes from Mukul Sharma, who has had a reliable track record with smartphone leaks on the local scene. Reported first by Mysmartprice, Sharma says that the Xiaomi 12 Pro will be priced aggressively in India and could see a launch within the next month or two. The phone has been available on sale in China for a while as the company’s best phone this year. Note that Xiaomi is yet to launch a successor to the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra from last year.

Note that this is unconfirmed information and Xiaomi India is yet to announce anything on this front. Hence, we advise you should take this with a pinch of salt. Xiaomi India hasn’t launched its mainstream flagships in India since a few years. Last year’s Mi 11 Ultra was an exception that sold in limited numbers. Prior to that, the real Xiaomi flagship in India was the Mi MIX 2 from 2017.

Last year’s Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro were essentially rebadged versions of the cheaper Redmi K40 series from China. The Xiaomi 12 Pro, however, is a proper flagship and Xiaomi seems to be doubling its efforts in the high-end smartphone space to take on the likes of Apple, Samsung, iQOO, Realme, and Vivo.
